Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences is a public post‐secondary university maintained by the State of Vorarlberg. The employees create and convey knowledge and skills through degree programs, research and continuing education. The University has a total of 14 degree programs in the areas of business, engineering and technology, design and the social sciences. Seven of these degree programs are at the bachelor’s level and seven at the master’s level; of these, seven are offered as professional degree programs. Class sizes are small, and instruction is efficient and practice‐oriented. The high level of didactic skills of instructors guarantees a universal quality of instruction throughout the campus.

These quality standards are supported by state‐of‐the‐art laboratories, in which students and staff work on current research topics. The immediate connection between research and studies means that students come into contact with current research questions early on. At Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences, scientists and students conduct research in the areas of Process and Product Engineering, Microtechnology, User‐Centred Technologies, Society and Socio‐Economics and Mechatronics. The international focus of degree programs and research provides students and staff with valuable experience abroad.
